Singing/Piano Teacher from Ireland, living in Glasgow, ready to help you with your voice/piano in a way that suits you.
To date I have a lot of experience in vocal teaching of all levels and have developed a specific interest in teaching beginner piano using a wide variety of methods depending on your individual needs. Regardless of how good or bad you believe you are there is always a way to work for you and it's my job to find out how!
I started taking classical singing lessons since the age of 13 followed by piano lessons a couple years later. Throughout my teenage years I enjoyed a variety of performing experience be it with choirs, concerts or local productions of musicals such as West Side Story where I played Tony or Phantom of the Opera where I was The Phantom. After achieving distinction in classical singing and musical theater at grade 8 I applied to do my Bachelors of Music in Ireland. Throughout my undergraduate degree I have sang roles in a variety of Operas and Oratorios, given recitals singing English, French, Italian and German and been soloist in choral performances. I graduated with a First Class Honours degree in music specializing in teaching and was recipient of a special award for the highest teaching mark in my year from DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. I am currently doing a two year Masters degree in vocal performance in the Royal Conservatory of Scotland.
Teaching one to one lessons in music schools, privately and most recently in the prestigious performing arts academy- 'French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts' in New York
Working with individual students as part of my undergraduate degree where lessons were supervised by Conservatory teachers and regular feedback was given.
Group singing lessons focusing on technique, ensemble and performance preparation.
Conducting choir rehearsals for choral societies in a variety of musical styles.
Teaching piano privately and in music schools.
My goal as a teacher is to provide you with the tools necessary to understand and develop in a safe and enjoyable way. I truly aspire to make everyone feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. It is not possible to make good music in any environment that is not relaxed.
This will be done by:
Understanding what it is you want from your lessons.
Choosing music together that you like and is appropriate for you.
Creating exercises to warm up, expand and develop your instrument.
And above all, have fun while doing so.

"Eoin is a really fantastic teacher! On top of being patient, his explanations are always very clear, and I am learning a lot through the lessons -- about singing techniques, but also music in general; being a linguist I also can attest he is very knowledgeable when it comes to phonetics. He also managed to put me at ease in no time even though I am a dreadfully shy person, which speaks volume about what a nice person he is."
"Clear teacher, happy with the results so far! The online setting works well with notes and instruction. Clear and easy to follow."
"Eoin has taught my daughter singing with his excellent skill and knowledge. His communication skill is exceptional and my daughter enjoys the lesson a lot. She has been able to learn many songs with great understanding of music and its theory. Highly recommend him!!"
"Eoin Foran is a hard-working and devoted musician, performer and teacher. He is constantly seeking to broaden his knowledge of vocal pedagogy through intensive research and subsequent practice in his own teaching. Eoin himself is highly skilled and experienced in all areas of vocal performance and understands the demands placed on present day musicians. These are attributes that feed directly into his teaching, cultivating an environment that is both enjoyable and lively, but focused and tailored to the needs of the individual student. It is thus without reservation that I recommend Eoin"
